What does the JoshMathias score mean?
Every review gets a score from 0 to 10. It is a simple guide to the whole product, not a lab result. We look at design, everyday use, value, and performance, then ask who the product really suits. A 7 can be a good buy for the right person. Check the Good and Bad points before you compare two scores.
Why are scores of 9 or more rare?
A 9 or 10 means a product has very few meaningful trade-offs for its job. Most products do something well and give something up. We keep 9+ for products that feel special over time, not just exciting on launch day. A lower score is not a put-down. It helps you see the compromises.
How do hubs and tabs work?
A hub is the home page for a product or topic. It brings the useful pieces together, such as the review, news, videos, good points, bad points, and discussion. Use the tabs to move between those pieces without hunting through the site. The hub is the best place to start when you are briefing a client or making a shortlist.
What is the difference between News and a Review?
News is about what happened: a launch, update, price, event, or company announcement. A Review is our own judgement after looking at how a product works in real life. News can be quick and timely. Reviews take a wider view and include the score, Good points, Bad points, and who should buy.
How should I read the Good and Bad points?
Start with both lists. Good points show where a product earns its place and who may enjoy it. Bad points show the cost, limit, or compromise that could change your decision. Marketing and PR teams can use the Good list for fit, but the Bad list matters just as much. It keeps a pitch honest.
Do reviews include UAE or AED details?
When we know a useful UAE angle, we call it out. That can include local fit, Gulf heat, desert or city use, retail access, or a UAE price in AED. Prices and stock can change, so treat an AED figure as a guide and check the seller before you publish it. If we do not have a verified local detail, we will not pretend we do.
Can I submit a user review?
Yes. Share the product name, your score, what you used it for, what worked, what did not, and where you are based. Add clear photos or proof of ownership when useful. Post it in the Forums at /forums/ and label it as a user review. It may be edited for clarity, checked for spam, or left unpublished if it is abusive, copied, or mainly an advert.
What are the forums for, and what is good etiquette?
Forums are for useful product talk, questions, owner tips, and respectful disagreement. Stay on topic, explain your experience, and be kind to people who have a different budget or use case. Do not post private information, copied articles, referral spam, or personal attacks. If you represent a brand or agency, say so.
What is the difference between Tech and Mobility?
Tech covers devices, software, audio, smart home, creator tools, and related products. Mobility covers cars, EVs, tyres, accessories, and the way people move through real places. Some products cross over, such as in-car technology or charging. We place a story where it helps readers find it fastest.
How often do reviews get updated?
We update a review when a major software update, price change, product fix, or new fact changes the buying advice. Not every small change needs a rewrite. The page may keep its original score when the product is still the same, with a note added for important changes. Always check the date and local price before using a review in a campaign.
How can I contact Joshua?
For a question, correction, review sample, or partnership idea, use the contact form in the site footer or header if it is present. You can also check the Contact page from the site menu. Please include the product, your deadline, and what you need. A clear brief gets a clearer reply.
Is the writing made for SEO or GEO instead of people?
No. The writing starts with the reader and the product. We use original wording, clear headings, useful details, and honest first-hand judgement. That also helps search and AI answers because the page has a real point of view. We do not promise a search position or write fake praise to please a brand.
Do you accept advertising or paid coverage?
Advertising and paid coverage can change over time. Check the Contact page and the current site information before sending a proposal. Any commercial arrangement should be clear about what is paid, what is editorial, and who has final say. A payment should not buy a guaranteed score or a hidden review.
